Bishop Dr. Stephen Munga installs Rev Yohana Mmaka as Principal Dean The congregation filled Lushoto Cathedral, on Sunday, 31st July 2011, for the Installation of Principal Dean Rev. Yohana Mmaka. NED-ELCT General Secretary welcomed people as they arrived and ensured that each led to their seats by ushers, thought others had to stay outside due to population. Rev. Mmaka was nominated and approved by Synod General Assembly held earlier February 2011.

Choir from Germany had chance to sing during service

The chaplain for the Lushoto Cathedral Rev. Peter Bendera welcomed the congregation and reminded everyone that the Cathedral has been a place of prayer and big events. Different invited choirs had chance to sing. A short rehearsal made it evident that the music had been chosen to promote an atmosphere of joyful praise (as will be seen in picture). Bishop Dr. Stephen Munga during installation and ordination said: Friends in Christ: Our Lord says: 'Peace be with you! As the Father sent me, so I send you.' Then he breathed on them, saying, 'Receive the Holy Spirit! If you forgive anyone's sins, they are forgiven; if you pronounce them unforgiven, unforgiven they remain.'

Congregations following the installation and ordination keenly

Happy continued: Like the one who loved us and gave himself for us, we are called to humbly serve our neighbor. We are to love each person as Christ, who shed his most precious blood for everyone without exception. … I pray that we might be energized by the Holy Spirit.
