Bishop Johan Tyrberg visits NED-ELCT

The aim of Bishop Johan Tyrberg ‘s visit to North Eastern Diocese was to build the partnership between the two  Dioceses , Lund –Sweden and North Eastern Diocese-ELCT. He was able to see the work of the church in the urban and rural areas, including the mission area in Msomera where evangelistic work is being done among the maasai ethnic groups. Many different choirs participated in the special worship service in which Bishop Johan Tyrberg baptized 12 children.

He also visited Handeni parish which for several years has been in  partnership with the parish of Kyrkhult in Lund Diocese. The two dioceses since September 2017 have embarked on a new programme-“The Traineeship Programme”, a programme which provides traineeships for young people from Lund Diocese.
