Sekomu becomes the First University in Tanzania to offer Postgraduate Degree Studies in Special Eduction

The Tanzania Commission for Universities recently approved SEKOMU's curriculum of the MASTER OF EDUCATION IN SPECIAL EDUCATION PROGRAMME! The programme will take off in April 2013 when we start the second semester of the academic year 2012/2013. SEKOMU thereby becomes the first University in the country to have a postgraduate degree programme in the field of Special Education!

We hereby invite applications from eligible candidates. A list of Entry Requirements as well as Application forms are available on this website and at Professors and lecturers from Tanzania and different parts of the world have already been prepared to start facilitating this programme in April 2013.

SEKOMU was established on 28th October 2007, starting as a constituent college under Tumaini University known as Sebastian Kolowa University College (SEKUCo). The University College opened with the programme of Bachelor of Education Special Needs and became the first higher learning institution in Tanzania to offer degree studies in the field.
