| We are back with photos showing preparations underway to open Sebastian
Kolowa University College (SECUCO) of Tumaini University. |
| A couple of months ago, we promised to deliver news about the
development of preparations for SEKUCO on a weekly basis. We regret
that we have been unable to keep that promise. Now, we are back and
today you may see some photos showing the on-going renovation. |
The renovation has begun at Campus A. We have started with buildings that
are going to be used as accommodation for students. These buildings
have been unused for more than 10 years and they are looking like this … |
|
 | …this is how some of them look inside… |
Having been empty for many years, the bathrooms are quite run down.
|
|

| We have started with demolishing… |
Thereafter, building some new walls…
|
|
| Slowly the improvement could be noted… |

| The walls and the inner roof are truly not the same! |
Indeed,
more paint, more doors, more window glasses and more tiles are needed,
but the changes that we see everyday fill us with inspiration and urge
us to move on.
|
|
| | The
total renovation costs for this house, including new electricity
instalments, a new veranda, new toilet chambers and pipes, is around
USD 12,000. This building has 5 rooms. It will therefore be able to
host 10students. Note that each of the rooms is self-contained! |
Greetings from some of those who work on the renovation site!
